Text Box: Lily Faron has a life-long interest in the Arts.  She brings more than 20 years of Grant/Contract Administration and General Accounting experience to The VetStage Foundation.  Lily spent five years in the Middle East, is past President and current Treasurer of a private holding company, and has a passionate interest in promoting awareness to the public by helping veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars find their creative voice.

Text Box: Wayne Kazan received his J.D. in 1995 from the University of Southern California Law Center, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in 1990.  He is now a partner in the firm's entertainment department. Mr. Kazan's practice encompasses all aspects of the entertainment industry, including film, television, music, videogame/interactive, merchandising, live stage, endorsements, and print publishing. His clients include writers, actors, directors, producers, musicians, software designers, record labels, and production companies. Mr. Kazan is also an active member of the Entertainment Industry Foundation and Environment California. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Kazan spent a few years in a hip hop/production duo for which, unfortunately, he never needed legal representation.

Text Box: Sean Huze is originally from Baton Rouge, LA.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2001-2005 in the infantry field with 2nd  Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion.  On February 6, 2003 he deployed as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  2nd LAR saw action from Nasirya to Tikrit.  Sean was awarded a Certificate of Commendation citing his “courage and self sacrifice throughout sustained combat operations” while in Iraq.  Other awards include The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, The Combat Action Ribbon, Meritorious Promotion for Corporal, The Presidential Unit Citation, The Iraq Campaign Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.  He received an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps on March 7th, 2005 related to an injury he sustained in Nasirya, Iraq.

Upon returning from Iraq, he authored the critically acclaimed play, The Sand Storm: Stories from the Front which ran in Washington, D.C. after two successful runs in Los Angeles and has been produced in Denver, CO, Portland, ME, and debuted in the academic setting as part of LACC’s Fall 2006 season, with a European debut planned for May 2007 in Germany.  His second play Weasel which addresses Articles 133 & 134 of the UCMJ, made its debut in September 2005 at The Kennedy Center’s Page 2 Stage Festival.  His third play, The Wolf, which tackles Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder brought on by the experience of combat in Iraq, will world premiere in Los Angeles in March, 2007.  In addition to his work for the stage, Sean has recently wrapped his first film project, Homecoming, which takes a hard look at the challenges veterans face upon return from war.

Sean has also appeared in the hard hitting documentary The Ground Truth which world premiered at Sundance 2006 and was distributed by Focus Features.  He appeared in the new Paul Haggis film, In the Valley of Elah and can be seen in the upcoming Paul Greengrass film, Green Zone starring Matt Damon. 
 
Sean continues to work as a writer for stage and film, producer, military script consultant, and actor.  He now resides in Los Angeles, CA with his son, Andrew Patrick.

Patricia Foulkrod, Board Member

Text Box: A New Jersey native, Patricia Foulkrod began her film and television career as an assistant in news and public affairs at WNET-TV, New York City's PBS flagship station (Channel 13). After working her way up to producing some of the station's programs, she further honed her producing skills on industrial films for such companies as Boeing, Mercedes Benz, Air France, and Disney. 

After moving to Los Angeles in the early 1980s, she line-produced the acclaimed 70mm documentary The Living Seas; and produced and directed They're Doing My Time, an hourlong PBS documentary about children whose mothers are in prison. She later executive-produced a CBS telefilm adaptation of the latter, entitled Locked Up: A Mother's Rage, which was directed by Bethany Rooney and starred Cheryl Ladd and Angela Bassett; and co-produced the six-hour documentary series The Native Americans, for Turner Broadcasting System.  

Ms. Foulkrod has since worked as a producer of independent feature films, among them Éva Gárdos' award-winning An American Rhapsody (on which she was also second unit director), starring Scarlett Johansson, Nastassja Kinski, and Tony Goldwyn; Richard Squires' Crazy Like a Fox, starring Roger Rees and Mary McDonnell; and Richard Shepard's The Linguini Incident, starring Rosanna Arquette and David Bowie. 

During the state of California's recall race in 2005, Ms. Foulkrod served as the Southern California Grassroots Director for Arianna Huffington's Governmental campaign. She also created Peace on the Beach, an event for which thousands of people came together to form a Picasso aerial image for peace. She has organized additional aerial images (with John Quigley) for Greenpeace, and for homeless war veterans, as part of the Discovery Channel's NOW outreach effort.

Text Box: Judith Broder, MD is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, and activist in private practice in Studio City, CA.  She is on the Board of  
Directors of PSR-LA (Physicians for Social Responsibility -Los 
Angeles).

She initiated and is the Director of "The Soldiers Project" , a  
project of the Trauma Center of LAISPS (Los Angeles Institute and  
Society for Psychoanalytic Studies). This is a group of licensed  
mental health professionals who are offering free counseling services to service members, veterans of OIF and OEF , their families and loved ones.

Dr. Broder's  inspiration for the Project was The Sandstorm by Sean Huze.
